After about 30 years in photojournalism, where I garnered several recognitions as a published and award winning photographer, I decided that my call was to be a photography instructor. I completed in three years a course with Canon in which I was awarded by them a cetificate as a 5 star Canon Photography Master.
As you can see, I have dedicated a good portion of my time photographing sports because it is a challenging endeavor and because I enjoy sports, having been a participant in my younger days.
Between individual tutoring sessions, I teach photography at Midlands Technical College and have taught as an adjunct professor a couple of summers at the Photovisual track of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina.
I have attended numerous seminars, have photographed for national and international publications, and I have covered national and international sporting events. I have also owned my own studio and darkroom.
But more importanly, I have been teaching and tutoring photography for nearly 10 years and my students come from all over. The best way to measure the ability of an instructor is to view the product of his students. I have devoted space on some of my other websites to do just that.
You are only an e-mail away away from photography excellence, where you can reach me 24/7 at mgaetan@sc.rr.com
My teaching comes with a guarantee: If you are not satisfied at the end of the session, you can take it again for free!
